Program Guide

Before we start, JJ Berney would like...

A Word

We're here to prove to you that we're not your average college radio station. Bet you've heard that one before, eh? Well... this time it's true. Our studios, nestled in a corner of the student center of Brandeis University, are overflowing with music, people, ideas, and just plain fun.

Open the door to our vinyl collection and you may just find yourself weaving in and out of a narrow corridor so as to not disturb the tons of new "to be processed" music we receive daily. Our staff typically huddles in the only free space we have in the radio station, the closets or, as we call them, offices, as we plot and strategize new ways to make the cool stuff we do even cooler.

As a non-profit college/community Co-Operative radio station, we strive to do what no other radio station in the Boston area does. We bring the world to your radio. We are diverse. We are fresh. We rarely repeat. Innovation remains a part of the vital structure of WBRS. Free Live Music, four days per week. New equipment weekly. Special Productions regularly. News and Sports twice daily. New music every hour. This dynamism is the air WBRS breathes. And we never stop. Call us any time, any day, any week, and we'll be here. If you speak to me and it's New Year's, you'll win a free t-shirt (be the 100th caller etc.). WBRS never shuts down.

We promise to play every single piece of music we receive without judgement. Operating 24 hours per day, 365 days per year--it's the way we meet our promise. With a staff of nearly 300 eager, proud workers and a music collection of more than 70,000 pieces, we bust our butts to bring it to our listeners. To learn more about the cool stuff that we do, read on! It only gets better.

If you have any questions about WBRS, its programming/music philosophies, etc., please write us at WBRS, 415 South Street, Waltham, MA 02254, or e-mail at WBRS@brandeis.edu. Also check out our neat web page at http://www.wbrs.org. I hope you think that WBRS is as cool as I do.
