The WBRS Fall 1995WBRS sports is an excellent opportunity to get professional guidance and the hands on experience necessary to become a sports broadcast journalist. Each and every member of the Sports department has the opportunity to announce play by play and color commentary for great Brandeis sports teams ranging from the ECAC defending champion men's soccer team to a high action packed Judges basketball game. The baseball team is so talented that a major league team drafted one of their players this past spring. Do not miss out on the call because this year promises to be the most exciting year ever.
For those who are huge sports fanatics, WBRS offers two sports talk shows. Maybe you have called into "sports radio" before around the nation and just were not given the chance to say everything you wanted. Well, here is your golden opportunity to become the host or a guest and never worry about being cut off! The department wants to know your opinion on the NBA, NHL, college basketball, MLB or even synchronized swimming. All you have to do is join the sports staff today.
The department also allows Brandeis students to sample the field of sports by being involved in the WBRS' news show Datebook, you can join or call--it's your chice. Are you the next Bob Costas? You'll never know unless you try! In addition, sports members will be selected to interview the Boston Celtics team and coaches on their annual media day at the Gosman Sports Center coming up this fall. This is truly a rewarding experience that no sports fan would want to pass up.
Everyone is encouraged to attend the sports orientation at WBRS and the broadcast workshop for an in depth view of the exciting operation of the sports department here at WBRS. Be part of our winning team!
